Am I Who I Am?

Do you want to do something in a huge powerful way?

What is your goal? Have you considered doubling it? Come on – expand your imagination. See it – feel it – and let go fully trusting it will happen. Expect nothing but the good.

Louise Hay talks about the analogy of going to a restaurant and ordering your dinner off the menu. You tell the waiter and (s)he goes to the kitchen and tells the cook to make it. Just as you don’t follow that waiter to the kitchen and watch the cook prepare your food, you don’t need to worry about how the universe is preparing your goal either. Let go and trust that the food (your goal) that you ordered will be delivered.

That is not to say that you don’t participate with the universe. With Louise Hay’s example, your participation is showing up at the restaurant, deciding on what kind of food to order and telling the waiter. This would be equivalent to deciding on your specific goal and telling yourself and others that you want it. Back in the restaurant you wait for the food with hunger and anticipation and money to pay for the food. This again is parallel to being ready to receive your goal in making space for it, educating yourself, surrounding yourself with experts interested in your goal, and working on core beliefs you may have about deserving, worthiness, money, etc... And when a great idea comes to you, take action. You must take action even if it's a crazy idea. Stre.....etch your comfort zone.

What’s that? You say you can’t do it? You can't double your goal? What is that? Who’s voice is that? Is it yours or your parents’ or from other people? Whose perception are you listening to?

Ask yourself:
Am I who I think I am?
Am I who you think I am?
Am I who I think you think I am?
How do you define yourself? Who are you? And why does it matter?
It matters if this perception is holding you back.

In 1960 Dr. Maxwell Waltz published the book ‘Psycho-Cybernetics’ (steering your mind to peace of mind), “turning frustration into a kinetic productive force of confidence”. “Self image sets the boundaries of human accomplishment.”

I started this blog with asking you to double your goal. If this seems outrageous to you – have a look at your self image. Enlarge your self image and you enlarge the scope of your accomplishments. What matters is what you think of yourself. That is where you tap into your power.

When you think of the past – use it to your advantage by thinking of the positive. Think of the gifts you have received and the lessons you’ve learned from any trials and tribulations you've had. Think about the incredible person you are today because of where you've been.

Now think about your goal being delivered to you just as you ordered it. Imagine and feel your feelings receiving your goal. Let go of worry and doubt and enjoy the right now. The moment you are in. You may even smell your food coming from the kitchen!
